What is GiCheon? |
GiCheon's unique method, called ""YeokGeun (Yeok: to Change, Geun: muscle)" targets every joint of the body (wrists, waist, knees, ankles, etc) and coordination between them. |
For centuries, martial arts masters, monks, warriors and scholars have pursued methods to develop, channel and harness the mysterious and powerful internal life force known as Gi (ki, chi, qi). Exercises like qigong and chi kung promote mental and physical health, harmony and longevity. Many martial artists use the applications of Gi/ki training to increase power, heighten focus and develop inner strength.
GiCheon is a unique system of martial art, spiritual discipline, meditation and holistic healing comprising positions adaptable to the needs of all people. This ancient Korean tradition allows you to experience more physical, energetic and mental strength, as its basic principle is to make the body believe itself a complete balance and increase the most of all its inherent potential. Its benefits affect active and harmoniously in all areas of life of the practitioner. GiCheon can also transform the unconscious in a conscious and total reality. GiCheon is assumed to have been passed down secretly by nameless sages who lived amidst the mountains in Korea. However, since none have left behind their names or any other written material which is commonly founded aspects in any Korean traditional cultural heritages, the origin and history of GiCheon remain something of a mystery. GiCheon uses a unique method, called "YeokGeun (Yeok: to Change, Geun: muscle)", or locking of the joints which can’t be found anywhere. YeokGeun targets every joint of the body (wrists, waist, knees, ankles, etc) and coordination between them). Joints are like passages to let Gi flow into all areas of the body. They are also believed to be junctions where Eum (negative) & Yang (positive) Gi channels/muscles come together. By working the trigger points and releasing the Gi, many injuries can be overcome in time. Meanwhile, as this is a very unusual way of conditioning muscles and joints and most of people in this world don't practice, it's also very difficult to express it in words or texts. If you are seeking a unique ki training method or are new to the concepts of internal energy, GiCheon will open your eyes to the possibilities within you. |
